OVERVIEW
Career Navigator is the discovery half of CareerOS. It interviews the candidate, models their current skills against target roles, and produces a path of learning, projects, and applications.
CHALLENGE
Career advice tools usually either dump information or oversimplify into a single 'next step'. The Navigator had to feel like a thoughtful coach: specific, honest, and personalised, without becoming a wall of text.
APPROACH
- 01Designed a conversational intake that earns the candidate's context without feeling like a form.
- 02Built a skills-and-goals model that visualises the gap between today and the target role.
- 03Created a path view that turns the gap into concrete weekly actions tied directly to applications.
- 04Iterated on real candidate feedback to find the moments where the AI added clarity vs. noise.
